Summer is a perfect time to practice many sports. In warm weather, we are more likely to run, go out for a bike or rollerblade. However, these are not the only activities that can be enjoyed in the summer.
What are the summer sports – list
Summer sports are a period that can be practiced without any equipment. We are talking primarily about running, walking or swimming. Some of them require more or less advanced equipment. Regardless of whether we use an electric scooter, inline skates or a bicycle, we can have a great time outdoors.
Below is a list of the most interesting summer sports:
– basketball- handball- tennis- badminton- field hockey- archery- golf- canoeing- open water swimming- rugby- judo- skateboard- volleyball- water polo- frisbee- water skiing- BMX- snorkeling- diving
Summer sports for children
Summer sports are simply perfect for the youngest. Young people are great at team games, which can be played outdoors in the summer. Football goals, or even the ball itself, can be bought in very different variants, so nothing stands in the way of starting to play as an amateur or under the supervision of a coach.
Sailing or water skiing can be practiced by children over ten years of age and have mastered the basic skill of swimming.
On the mainland, on the other hand, a scooter or bicycle will work great, on which you can perform interesting tricks. Of course, then you will not do without a protective helmet. Children can also play tennis or even badminton. These are sports that develop a lot and that can be trained at virtually any age.
An interesting sport that is most often practiced in summer is horse riding. Although until recently it was associated with a very elite character, nowadays riding schools can be found in virtually every major city and in many villages. Horse riding does require some equipment, such as riding helmets or riding boots. However, they are usually available for rent in all classes.
Interesting and unusual summer sports
However, the most popular summer sports do not satisfy everyone. That is why more and more people are opting for less popular and more unusual disciplines. Among them, we can mention, for example, frisbee. This sport came to us from the United States, where it is extremely popular. Frisbee can be played in various ways, both with the two of you and with friends. Interestingly, frisbee is practiced in sports even with four-legged friends.
You can try kitesurfing by the water. This activity consists in gliding on a special board, which is powered by a kite. The most important rule is to stay on the board while riding.
Extreme summer sports
During the summer months, we also have more courage to try extreme summer sports. Contrary to appearances, these are not always activities reserved only for the most advanced players and extremely fearless people. What sports are we talking about?
Flyboarding is a good example. At first glance, this discipline may resemble surfing a bit, because here we also move on a board. However, the water under it is pushed out under significant pressure, which is why we are knocked up to several meters up! Flyboarding allows you to perform extraordinary stunts and experience amazing adventures.
Mountain climbing, parachuting, paragliding or sea sailing can also be considered an extreme summer sport. However, before we decide on a discipline for ourselves, it is worth considering whether our health and general fitness will not stand in the way of having fun. All summer sports can be really developing and a source of fantastic entertainment. Their list is so long that it shouldn’t be difficult to choose the perfect one for us. It is worth trying several disciplines to make sure that we do not miss anything interesting.
